SKOPE celebrated World Environment Day on June 5th by encouraging everyone to take a break and make a difference in our environment.
In Ĺtautahi Christchurch, a group of our staff headed to a nearby reserve for a cleanup effort. We were thrilled to be joined by a few other local businesses, and together, we collected an entire ute's worth of rubbish.
During the cleanup, we encountered a significant amount of plastic, glass, and even car parts. One of the more challenging items to pick up was plastic wrap, which easily gets blown around in the wind and entangles itself in bushes and fences. Another common item was polystyrene, which breaks down into smaller pieces and scatters with the breeze.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped us make a positive impact on our local community.
